The University hospital has 28 Clinics and Institutes; there are 6 different Intensive Care Units for adults: Traumatology, Burn Unit, Neurosurgery, Heart and Cardiovascular Surgery, Visceral-Transplant- and Thoracic Surgery, Internal Medicine. All nursing staff working in ICU’s have a degree in Intensive Care Nursing or are in training. The hospital offers 2 years’ postgraduate training in Intensive Care Nursing. There is a daily education program in all the ICU’s Nursing Process, Kinaesthetics, Basic Stimulation, Aroma Therapy are widespread on the Intensive Care Units.
